lottie, you always make me laugh even when you don’t mean to. i love this little monkey, your black and whites are so delicious. you sound like you’re trying to make your way out of a funk but i truly love your “weather” shots. i love how you can capture just one solitary leaf… and it’s an entire image. i CANNOT do that… but i may give it a shot now after seeing yours again.

Still jealous of your monkey.
Oh, and speaking of external flashes, I have so much work cut out for me. My brother gave me two speedlight flashes (420EX and the 520EZ), and I have no clue how to use them yet.

Love that monkey!
I’m with Meghan…I have no idea how to use my flash. I just turn it on and pray that it goes off! So professional of me!

I like this little chimp, he’s cute.
I also love the post processing you’ve done!

Awe, I love this image first of all. The texture, everything. And I love the monkey! Free?? What tea? Thank you for the comment on my blog, too.

Did I say 520 EZ? I mean 540 EZ, and I’ve just read that it doesn’t work with digicams (my brother still works with film, bless him). No wonder I couldn’t figure it out!

Thanks everyone!
Thanks for checking out my little blog Sherri! It was free with PG Tips… but I’m in the UK, so don’t think you can get them over there
Meg, having the 540EZ will come in really useful when you’re a flash expert
… stick it manual and on a lightstand with a couple of those cheapy gadget infinity wireless doo-dahs and you’ve got an extra light for some cool sothen type lighting.
